Client
Sotenäs Kommun, Sweden
Objective
Sotenäs wanted to highlight its unique strengths as an employer — meaningful roles, a supportive community, and an unbeatable coastal lifestyle. The goal was to produce a recruitment film that reflects the municipality’s core values: transparency, holistic perspective, and participation, while inspiring professionals to consider a future in Sotenäs.
Challenge
I stepped into the project at a late stage after the previous responsible creator withdrew. The handover consisted of a brief 5-minute conversation and a week left on the deadline. Although script, music, and a majority of footage existed, the story lacked structure, cohesion, and a clear direction.
To add to the challenge, I had only one day to capture new footage — on a day with 15 m/s coastal winds trying their hardest to knock over both me and the camera.
This was a tough and incredibly fun challenge.
Solution
I quickly evaluated all existing material, identified missing elements, and planned the most effective shooting schedule possible given the weather. Then I crafted a narrative that brings together breathtaking landscapes, real people, and the warmth of community life in Sotenäs.
I handled all editing, sound mixing, and color correction — shaping the project into a polished and emotionally engaging film.
Result
A complete and compelling recruitment film, delivered on time despite the tight schedule and production hurdles. The final product showcases Sotenäs as a place where work, purpose, and ocean life come together beautifully.
Client Feedback
“The recruitment film is surprisingly good! I did not expect it to turn out so good and well-made — so professional, so beautiful, so appealing, and actually so fun!”
“WOW, I’m so impressed — it turned out better than I expected. A heartfelt thank you from a super-happy client!”
This project highlights my ability to take ownership under pressure, create structure out of chaos, and deliver high-quality storytelling — with creativity and excitement leading the way.
